About Ricardo Cuevas
Ricardo Cuevas is a father dedicated to his child learning Spanish. Ricardo currently lives in Orlando, FL. He came to the United States as a very young boy and his parents worked to ensure that he fully developed his fluency in Spanish. Now he would like to pass that gift on to his son. He spends his days working in the IT industry and his evenings doing his best to provide his 2 year old son with a good education and that includes teaching his child a foreign language. Because his child was born in the United States, Ricardo knows first-hand the challenges all parents have in teaching their children a non-native language. In the United States specifically, the culture is not as proactive in multi-lingualism as in other countries. This is why Ricardo has teamed up with renowned children’s education expert Lydia Maldonado to engineer tools that real world parents need to start their child on a life-long path to learning and enjoyment. These days, many children don’t have the luxury of a stay at home parent. Therefore, parents must choose wisely as to how they spend the few hours they do have to spend quality time with their children. This is why Reading Amigo was designed to be an easy to use tool to help develop Spanish language skills at an early age, when it is easier for children to learn new language.
